Saree Draping Guide
The classic Nivi drape flatters every silhouette. Follow these steps to drape your silk saree with confidence.
Step 1 — Tuck
Tuck the plain end into your petticoat at the navel and wrap it once around your waist, ending back at the front.
Step 2 — Pleats
Make 5–7 even pleats of the fabric, about four inches wide, and tuck them neatly into the petticoat at the waist.
Step 3 — Pallu
Drape the remaining fabric (the pallu) across your torso and over your left shoulder, letting the border fall gracefully.
Step 4 — Finish
Pin the pallu at the shoulder and adjust the pleats. Secure with a safety pin for all-day comfort.
